Needless to say, Jamie was a very punctual employee, always the first on to arrive right after the manager to the infamous Starbucks on the days he didn’t have classes. Even then, he always clocked in on time. It wasn’t the most glamorous job - paid little more than minimum wage, and you didn’t need a high school diploma to work there - but the 19 year old loved the atmosphere. He loved how quaint and quiet it was despite the number of people that came and went each day. He loved seeing the ‘hipster’ girls and watching them take pictures of their cups with names he had personally written. He loved getting acquainted with new people there. And today, he hoped to get acquainted with a certain other - a young woman, the first customer of the morning he had spotted while looking up from wiping the counter. Offering a friendly smile, he put his rag away and went over to the register. “Hello and good morning, ma’m. Welcome to Starbucks, what’ll it be?”

"Then let’s do it!" And with that, Jamie clasped her hands together, then brought them apart to reveal a baseball in her hand. "Heads up!" She then carefully threw it over to Kara.
"Really? I'm better at baseball. I can actually catch them." She giggles.
"Well that’s cool too! Hey, speaking of which, why don’t we just play that?"
