The Boot Hill Express
this 1967 custom was built by Ray Fahrner of Kansas City, based on an actual 1850s horse-drawn funeral coach that allegedly carried James-Younger Gang member Bob Younger to his final resting place in Boot Hill (technically Lee's Summit Cemetery in Missouri)
it sports a 426 Hemi, and the owner was brave enough to ride atop this thing at 130mph in the quarter-mile!
it came as a model kit, too! which of course was my favorite ever:
about as goth a hot rod as has ever existed
(not my builds but awesome. mine got riddled with bb-gun holes thanks to my little brother. appropriate I guess)
the original show car lives at the Lincoln, Nebraska, Museum of American Speed
