hey, uh, am I just stupid, or is this actually a heart shard?????

Like, we know from the end of the show that Duck has a heart shard, that's how she turns into tutu, but could this also be a manifestation of the shard of hope? Like, Duck has so much faith and hope in this moment that even though the heart shard is turning her into tutu, it's got some extra juice to manifest at least a little bit physically?

Like, Rue saw him too, at least for a second.

Am I stupid for not connecting the dots? Did I actually connect any dots??? I know he isn't red, but none of the other shards did a full transformation on their holders either, so hope is obviously at least a little different.

Heart Shards: Karlnapity AU

Quackity being a soul contractor of sorts, whether it be for a client or for his own gain. Some call him the grim reaper, others a force of evil but he could care less.

He has a cane that he uses as a weapon, a wand and- well. As a cane. However if he lifts his eyepatch he can summon three demons (Karl, sapnap, charlie) to help him cultivate souls.

With a recent incident with his old apprentice Purpled, Charlie is out of commission. However a new client comes along. A man by the name of Dream asking him to reap some high risk souls. In return, he can ‘potentially’ bring back Charlie. And with Dream being his only lead, Q takes the job.

Now here’s a lil bit of world building:

Quackity quite literally split his soul between the three demons meaning that if one dies, a part of Q dies as well. His life span is significantly shortened with Charlie’s death and his strength and powers are weaker.

Karl, Sapnap, and Charlie all have a human form, and they can form it outside of Quackity. However that means leaving Q vulnerable so only one demon is usually let out at a time, especially when Charlie dies.

( This AU takes a bit of inspo from soul eater, Madoka Magica, and a bit of Tokyo ghoul for anyone interested in knowing :] )

It's so strange seeing Karl's gummy form looking so demonic, well done!

Also just imagine Karl Sapnap and Quackity all hugging after Charlie's death 😭😭😭 Karl and Sapnap are so scared now that their human is 33% more vulnerable than he was, Quackity holding onto Sapnap and Karl even tighter bc he doesn't want to lose anyone else

just the absolute anguish all three are going through and the two have to help q back up on his feet. the healing process is gradual and even when he does recover his legs were never the same. when the demons are dormant, they can still talk to quackity. it became karl and sapnap switching out who was taking care of Q in the physical realm while the other talked to Q with that good ol telepathy.

With all three parties concerned about one another, they debate on taking Dream's offer. Sapnap felt they couldnt trust him while Karl just wasnt sure. Q agreeing to fulfill Dream's contract was based on Quackity's intuition alone

Unfortunately, it might have been the wrong choice.

ive been strugglin with his form ngl LOL i dont know whether to go for a venom type beat or absolute scrunkly man who can and will burn you alive. Slimecicle though was easy enough he's just a goopy guy ya know

Like many San Antonians, one of my favorite events of the year is Esperanza Peace and Justice Center’s art and craft market.

Artists from Mexico and the Southwest show an amazing array of cool stuff, and I always come away with a zillion ideas. I especially love seeing my friend, talented Linda Rael, there because she has the best ideas to steal. I purchased one of her wonderful fabric sculptures to examine more closely! Here are some photos from the Market, and under those is a video of some assemblages I finished on Sunday after being totally inspired and excited by all of the things I saw.

When I came home from the market, I worked most of the weekend completing a series of Heart Shard assemblages – objects of devotion. These figures represent small iconic blessings, much like my earlier Guardian series. There may be more of these to come, and they will be available at the Saturday Studio Sale with Lesta, Jan and Alison.
