It was only after she’d gotten the name and photo of her target that Elektra realized she’d seen the woman before. Not only that, but she’d seen her powers in action before. Fish hadn’t lied about the voice the woman had, and Elektra knew she’d have to err on the side of caution with this one. Dinah Lance would be no easy target, but then, that was the way Elektra liked it. It wasn’t fun if it was easy.

She’d studied the woman carefully since receiving the job, kept a close eye on her movements until she was comfortable enough with the pattern to make her move. There was an alley the woman walked by nightly, one far from prying eyes and unwelcome interference. 

Elektra didn’t have to wait long. She heard the footsteps walking by, just as they did every night. She had a plan, of course, to get Lance into the alley. Heroic types were always drawn to certain things, always quick to offer a helping hand, and Elektra had always been a particularly good actress. When the footsteps got close enough to put Dinah within earshot, Elektra began sobbing softly, sniffling pathetically. It was subtle, but she was sure it would to the trick.
