Well since defiantly is a word, most spell checks won't pick it up. You'd need something that questions your use of words, such as the program in Scrivener which constantly underlines 'your' and asks me did I mean your or you're? Which is fantastic, and helps me catch small errors. 

This really comes down to not knowing the correct version, because when you say them out loud, they sound different. So sometimes reading out loud when editing is a really good method of self editing. Betas are fantastic but finding a good one isn't easy.
