Singing praise song is not the only worship... Worship is a profound word and it doesn't only contain singing, praying, raising your hands in the air, feeing the moment... Worship can be dance, painting, helping oppressed people, meditating, soaking, running, climbing, offering... Worship is so personal we can't draw a line to it that sets as standard checklist to fill... It's one of the most liberating thing to do, specifically when alone with Him. It's intimate, affectionate, humbling, comforting — basically it is how He is showing His self to us. It's where authentic seeking the presence of God really happens, though God is omnipresent but having to face with Him in our hidden place reveals the special encounter with Him. It is where we find our refuge. It is where most of the time His download of His power to us. "Why does God need worship? Why we Christians are encouraged to worship?" "Isn't it funny that a God like him is vain and He want us to worship Him? Why would He do that?" Worship is not for Him. Worship is for you. For us. For us to be like Him. Remember "we become what we worship"? We worship God so we can become like Him. He isn't vain or self-glorifying, He is simply lifting us up to the higher grounds of being as His son and daughters. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: we know it by the Spirit he gave us.
