These last few days have really been rough for me. My dad got knocked into Mobile River on Friday Night when a tugboat hit the barge he was cleaning at work. The drop was nearly 15 feet. Luckily he can swim and was able to get out of his safety gear before he was pulled under and drowned. The blessing is that he fell in on the shoreside; most folks who take a tumble into the river don’t make it out alive. This dude made it out alive with no scratches, or scars and somehow was able to call me from his phone an hour and a half after it happened (I’m now thoroughly convinced iPhones are indestructible 😂😂😂). He’s still in the hospital, but hopefully he’ll be home getting on my nerves by Tuesday.
