Kagami’s lips pressed together in a thin line when he felt that invisible wall go up between them. He frowned, almost angry himself, but collected himself just in time to sigh and let it go. Let it roll off his shoulders. There was no point calling the other out for it; Kagami understood why that wall was there.
That didn’t mean Kagami was going to leave things as they were, though.
"If you don’t tell me, I’m going to assume you asked some girl out and they refused you." Come on, Danzo.
He made a low noise of displeasure, aggressively turning back to him and lifting his chin a fraction, eyes still wet, but hard, his entire body tense. “Nothing so petty, if you would."
If nothing else, you managed to add anger to whatever was going on with him there Kagami, congrats.
It was a terrible move, he will admit, but at least it got the other talking. "Then tell me." His voice was laced with concern, and the hardness in his friend's eyes didn't deter him from pushing the matter. Not too much, though-- he didn't want to push too much. He was going to try, but if the rock wouldn't budge, then he would give it some time.
This time, however, he reached for the man's shoulder and gently rested his hand there; as gentle as he could before giving it a light squeeze. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Besides being asked to leave, because that was not going to happen any time soon. If Danzo had been crying, then whatever the reason was was pretty serious, and that bothered him.
"Of course not. There's not anything to help Kagami." He pressed his lips tightly together and looked straight ahead, which was subsequently not at the Uchiha. He had no words to express this, not in the least, and he almost growled the rest of his reply. "It is simply something to get up and move past now, so you don't need to get involved."
There was a tenseness that didn't leave his spine though, and he didn't jerk away from the hand on his shoulder at least.
