i was going to write something long serious about how i sometimes feel guilty for not (finish) writing more femslash fic than i do BUT YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME RAMBLE ABOUT 1D/AKB48 BECUSE THAT WAS THE MOMENT THAT MADE MY LIFE WORTH LIVING IT WILL NEVER GET BETTER THAN THAT!!!!! seriously when it happened i did the whole high pitched wailing and flailing with my arms and omg this is so cool, such a fandom collision and also do 1d understand how lucky they are to have met akb48 and have them support them that’s the cutest like wow the girls are so cute wow i love them so much and louis is so cute i like that picture where he looks like he stares at yuihan or annin that is so qt i hope he has a crush on either of them wow that’d be so qt sobbing ik this happened yesterday but i am still so excited by it!!! the boys sounded good in the acoustic version (not perf but wow i love acoustic versions of their songs because louis’ voice) and the girls were so cute and wow i was so angry because i looked a bit a the youtube comments because i think i might be some sort of masochist but mostly i’m just really really happy and kind of amazed. and i want to write louis having a crush on yuihan or annin with a side of niall/katy perry and maybe harry/yuko because why wouldn’t harry go for yuko omg they’d be the dumbest couple ever wow perf (and their height difference would be to die for)!!

2. Favorite piece overall?

looking at my body of finished works, i probably have to say owl stretching time.

it’s relatively long (especially for a oneshot in kpop fandom lmao), it’s pretty solid, there is a semblance of a plot even if it’s just romance, it’s not as much style over substance as a lot of my other writing, it’s written on the height of my love for qmi but also my love for kyuxiao and i think i manage to balance the three main relationships reasonably well.

i adore several of my drabbles and ficlets, and think that my writing is much stronger or the ideas are better or more interesting in some of them, but it’s difficult to compare that to how “owl stretching time” as a whole makes me feel and made me feel as i worked on it. it’s that piece that makes me feel accomplished when i look at it.

(if i had finished “hot chocolate effect”, the longer shimin fic set in the same au, that probably would have been my favourite though. or the pete/carl boarding school au, or the awaydays fic. it’s all about managing to finish things.)

11. If I’m showing off just one of your pieces to someone, which one should it be?

that’s such a difficult question, because i don’t really think i have anything that’s really worth showing off? i have some nice ficlets and drabbles, some decent oneshots but just… nothing is terribly exciting, honestly. maybe the yoonsic drabble don’t look my way or the qmi oneshot time stands still leaving my longing behind because those are both works i like, both when it comes to the writing itself and also the subject of writing (soul swapping and memory erasure respectively), but especially the latter could possibly be a little too much style over substance i suppose???

12. What WIPs do you have going now? Are you excited about them?

only going to bother with everything i’ve touched in the last ~30 days.

awaydays: elvis/carty after the end fic that’s mainly elvis not really talking with molly so far, but that hopefully, eventually will be them (elvis and carty i mean) moving to berlin at some point; yes i’m kind of excited about this, but mostly because i just really fucking love these characters and i’m hoping to get some of the quiet melancholy out of me so it won’t have to infect everything else i try to write.

csjh: THE DANA/SUNDAY FIC FROM HELL; no i’m not excited this fic should fuck off and be finished alreadyyyyy

f(x): jungli fic where krystal is a hipster indie kid and gives sulli cd mixes; yes i’m a little excited about that because it’s fun and dumb and semi-pretentious, even if i’m having a problem with actually writing proper jungli. so i’m basically just adding kisses and more groping than usual. // kryber fic based on an old seoulfulness prompt; i’ve only just picked this up again, and it’s not what i’m putting much or almost any energy into, but i really like the visuals i have for it and hoping i’ll manage to pull it off some time.

libertines: boarding school au; my love, my light oh how i despair for thee. i need to really start working on this again. // if them being together but not together because carl’s a sad person; it’s easy to write and therefore fun. wouldn’t say i’m excited about it necessarily, but yeah. // the small beginnings of a “plan b” universe; oh god yes, this could be so much fun. maybe. lbr i’m probably giving up on it sometime this week

snsd: sunny/jessica with a bunch of super generation side pairings and past pairings (and that’s important) and they’re on a beach in mokpo because it’s tradition and yeah it’s a university au/end of summer party where they get really drunk and sunsica fuck in the back of heechul’s car because that’s where all the magic happens (not for heechul tho because he’s still hung up over han geng oops) and taeyeon and jessica hate each other for mostly stupid reasons and not too seriously; yeah it’s kind of fun but i have yet to read/write it when i’m not a lil inebriated (mentioning this only because impaired judgement) so idk how excited i actually am??

super junior: siwon/sungmin fic where sungmin is a sad twat; not really excited but it’s working out nicely, sort of? it’s domestic and sweet and slightly sad which is pm everything i want when it comes to shimin. (except i’d rather have them completely happy, but yeah. not gonna happen.)

21: What I love most about myself | uh. maybe how emotional i am, with both positive and negative emotions? like it kind of sucks in plenty of situations, but i still think that it helps me idk being a better, more empathic person or something? /sobs

26: My biggest pet peeves| maybe people who stand in groups in doorways or narrow hallways or on the sidewalk so that you can’t really get past them and you want to curse their existence forever?? also, people who complain passive aggressively about other people complaining too much.
