               HE CACKLED, ALMOST dropping the bass line he’d been playing for the other guys. When Zoey had walked over to where he’d been playing, Reggie knew that she was about to do something strange — that’s just what happened when she zeroed in on him — but he hadn’t been expecting THAT. His laugh caught the attention of the other guys, but since he’d managed to catch his line and the beat, they played on, giving him and Zoey confused, amused glances. 

Turning his head away from his mic, Reggie looking at Zoey in what he hoped was somewhere near a scold. “What have I told you about being absolutely hilarious while I’m trying to play?”
