This weekend was full of great local music, all over Ames and Des Moines. Mighty Shady, all of the Little Big Fest bands, The Curse of Hail, Fuzzy Logic, Heatbox, Cirrus Minor, Aquamarine Dream Machine… such a good time, and I drank too much booze.. The last 2 bands were the very last show for the House of Bricks in Des Moines, and that’s pretty upsetting. It’s been such a great venue for almost 15 years. We passed a joint around stage during Cirrus Minor’s ‘No one ever died from smoking weed’ song. I don’t really remember what the actual title of that song is, but it got them into High Times lol. Anyway, it was a great weekend of great music and I'm so glad I have a bf that enjoys all different genres as much as I do and will go to to a bluegrass show with me one weekend and a metal show the next, with everything else in between and quickies in the parking lots. ;-)
