Since he's just returned and I've missed him dearly, let's do Heath Farwether from @kontextcomic.

1: Heath got his name from a peninsula on the eastern-most edge of Trabia, north of the Trabia/Esthar border. "Farwether" was meant to imply "lives in the middle of nowhere" but came out sounding more like a Star Wars character. So it goes~ 😅

2: His initial design was intended to slightly resemble Seifer—not to imply a genealogical connection, but to give Seifer a little extra appeal to Ultimecia when she chooses him in chapter 8. Kind of a stretch, I know.

Now his hair is so spiky that he accidentally reminds some readers of Zell. But ultimately, Heath looks the most like Heath, and that's best.

3: At the start, Heath's personality was meant to be a self-insert. A lot's happened since then, both in the writing and in real life, and this is no longer the case. That's okay, he's still my goodest boy.

4: Heath caused Kontext!

7-8 years ago, I just wanted to draw a fancomic that retells the main game. But then I had an idea for a new character, wondered what it would be like if Ultimecia met him as a kid, ideas snowballed from there, and the whole thing became Kontext. The old fancomic idea became chapter 8. In other words, Heath was Idea One.

5: He wishes he were more interesting (now there's a self-insert lmao). Heath's not just bored with his life, he's bored with himself. Being around extraordinary people makes him feel like he's more worthwhile, at least up to a point. It's not terribly healthy, but hey, he's still a kid.
