VERY LONG POST AHEAD!!

I want to do an what if for FFVIII, so I'll start with...

WHAT IF WE FOUGHT OTHER GFs?

I want to talk about Eden first, and see if I can find more stuff about them.

Eden is a very fitting for FFVIII, it's a technological creature, maybe alien, maybe ancient... A lot of people say Eden is a Garden from the future, which could be, it's a good theory. It has angelic strutures, everything that is on the themes of FFVIII. We find Eden Junctioned with Ultima Weapon, but, what if we battled them?

In FFXIV we fight them, but just a part of them, and it's already a battle that really makes you move (RIP Black Mage). What I find interesting about this fight, is that he take a new form called Eden Prime.

In this form, he is fast, has teletransportation, and has a sword (that just now I noticed it's their bottom...)

Even in this fight Eden is flying, so Quake would not affect them. One of Zell's special would not have effect either. I don't really think they have any elemental weakness, maybe lightning because of the mechanics and metal stuff, but I doubt it...

The status that Eden gives are Speed, Evade and Hit, so I assume Eden would be very fast, and maybe magic is more effective than normal attacks because of Evade. The Hit maybe can be deflected with Blind, just like Diablos... but I don't know, Eden can be a little more strong.

But anyway, let's see their abilities in game.

As I said, Eden is fast and uses teletransportation. And one thing I find interesting is their transformation in FFXIV. I was thinking it could use the ability Scan, and since it's Eden, what if Scan actually made some damage in the character! After the Scan, Eden can transform in any of the characters, using their abilities and maybe even when it's on their normal form, they would use their powers sometimes. They would learn their abilities!

Eden also modifies the ambience, maybe they can even make some holograms. Since they used Scan, what if they scanned some of their memories and used an hologram of Ellone to attack the party, for example?

It would use Draw, of course, but I think they would be a little more intelligent than Griever. They would select the magics with more caution.

Eternal Breath is their famous attack, and I assume it would be insta kill, just like Odin. Remember the animation? Eden transport the enemy to the place where they use their powers. So I think it would do the same in a normal battle, but I think we would have more time to actually defeat Eden. If the "timer" ends, it's game over.

What more do you think they would do?

Now I want to talk a little more about Eden itself. The first one is from the Wiki from FFVIII.

Searching for more info about Eden, I found those infos about a legend of Dragons. This is sooooo interesting!! I mean, as said in the first image, we found Eden in Deep Sea Research! I wonder if Sorceress and Dragons are in some manner connected... Because of the statues that I mentioned in other of my theories! And you know who else we find in Deep Sea? Bahamut! OMG!

And dragons are protectors of the nature, and look! Eden from FFXIV made the nature wholy again! Omg, Eden being an ascension of a dragon was not at my bingo card!

Maybe the other Gardens, being ancient thecnology with Sorceress influence, are also ascensions of dragons. It's interesting to see that the Gardens can have "concious", or maybe they are hibernating.

Besides Rinoa, that is a Sorceress in this part of the game when we get Eden, Selphie is the second one that have more compability with Eden. She IS a Sorceress candidate, and now it's more than enough proof... I wonder what kind of Sorceress she would be (more theories coming? 👀👀)

You know who have the most compability with Selphie and Rinoa? Yes, Bahamut...

I know a lot of the GFs will be more compability with the magic users (except to Ifrit, for example, he has compatibility with Zell the most), but just to show you some coincidences...

Other thing that I found interesting is their description in Mobius ( and the fact Eden is a WATER type). I wonder what people made in this Ancient City that we found in Deep Sea Research... We know that Centra and the Deep Sea are in ruins. I wonder if the Lunar Cry was actually made by humans hands. Or something else did...

We know that this also remember Atlantis, a land devasted because of greed. I don't have a good brain to actually do some parallels with this story and FFVIII, sooo... If you want to try lol

Anyway, I think we have more stuff to search, but for now that's it! Feel free to add something more in this post!

Ooh, yeah, and stay with the theme that play in the battle against Eden in Final Fantasy Record Keeper. It's really nice!
