It has been a while since I've shared anything Wedding Peach, so here's a photo of one of the scant few Ciao zen'in pieces in my collection.
When compared with leading shoujo manga serials of the time, Wedding Peach didn't receive a lot in the way of zen'in. There was a watch, some stickers, and of course this interesting bracelet and necklace set.
Both pieces are made of sturdy metal and feel surprisingly heavy in the hand compared with other furoku or zen'in jewellery I've received over the years. Each features a transparent blue acrylic crucifix paired with a metal peach blossom charm. Genuinely fascinating combo. The bag is extremely cute, boasting a unique illustration of Momoko by Yazawa-sensei on the front (nothing on the back).
I wouldn't call this an essential item to own unless you're an absolute diehard fan, which I guess I am. Like many of the products made for the series, it's a fun little novelty and exactly the sort of gift that would have delighted younger readers at the time. In that sense, it really served its purpose. However, it's not something I'm likely to take out and use, or even stop to admire very often.
I do still think it's an interesting piece of Wedding Peach memorabilia though, just personally, so I thought I'd share a nice clear pic.
