Heather couldn't stand the deafening silence inside the library. It was a first and a complete shock to her. Usually, silence completed her day. It was the thing she always looked forward to after busy shifts at the diner. But now, she itched for loud music and gossips and unnecessary noises. She made her way to the closest place that she could think of that could satisfy her need for noise: the city fair. Ferris wheels, parlor games, carousels, anything you could think of. First stop, cotton candy. “Hey, can I have me some of that purple cotton candy?”
