"I guess. Some of them care more than others," Bianca pointed out, remembering hearing about how some Gods cared immensely for their demigod children. She could honestly say her father had not been placed in that category.
She glanced around before crossing the street; her hand in her pocket, ready to stab her dagger at any danger. "They care about those who they think will succeed the most. It's unfair. I'm not even claimed yet."
"Like?" he asked softly, glancing over at her and pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head. "You can tell me anything."
"The usual. Problems, worries," she paused as he kissed her head, savoring the short moment. "Although there are some things that we better not talk about yet. You wanna talk about something?"
It feels more like he’s been given Amity’s trademark serum than anything meant to make him tell the truth. When she calls him out on his defensive retort he just chuckles and moves his gaze from the wall to land on her, “Then I must be something real special, huh?” There’s a twang to his words that shouldn’t be there, a foreign little lift in the word ‘real’ that makes it sound like he’s quoting a movie ; he probably is. When she moves over to disconnect the wires he flexes his fingers some and lets out a content sigh, “You’re my escort? That mean you’re paid for?”
“Special?” The words shoot out like poison, “You think you’re special, Pedrad? Oh, please, enlighten me.” Her Erudite side conflicted with the Candor; she wanted to throw intellectual remarks at him, but she also strived to be truthful at the same time. Choice of words were the fine line between being an Erudite and a Candor. Enyrea forced herself not to roll her eyes as she secured his wrists behind his back. “It is none of your business to know if I am being paid to escort you. Now, move.” Handling a gun was clearly not one of her strengths. The idea of directing it at a Dauntless from behind was insane. But she had to. She just hoped that she looked like she had it under her control.
"Uh.. I think so," she nodded, glancing around. "I’m not really an expert with this place. I don’t live here." She paused, nodding. "You’re telling me. I wonder what’s set them off this time."
"Oh. We just take the normal route, then? Better that we get chased in the open than in a narrow alley that'd probably be a dead-end," she suggested rather sternly. "Off with the gods. It's not like they cared about us, anyway. They put us in this situation."
"Yeah, sure, a drink sounds good." Karla nodded in agreement.
Enyrea started walking. "Good thing we met on one of my sort of good days. If it weren't the case, I'd probably be fuming right now," she laughed softly as she turned a corner.
"Yeah, I was. Probably the safest place to be. I mean, I’m not a full-time resident, but.." Her story wasn’t important right now. She started to walk again, glancing up at the sky. "No point hanging around."
She quickened her pace to catch up with the younger girl. "Yup. You know any shortcut along the way? We're in the wrong place to be right now," Enyrea croaked out the last sentence. As if that wasn't obvious. "The gods aren't in their best moods, are they?"

Jade chuckled as she got in, smiling at her and beginning to drive the car again. “I can see why that’d be annoying, to be honest,” she said with a laugh, taking a turn and becoming completely out of hearing and seeing distance from the house that she was at. “I’m glad to help.”
"Thanks. So much," she huffed out a sigh of relief, putting on her shades. The sun was setting, but her adrenaline wasn't. "So, you got a new found place for us to explore? Or do our old hangout places seem more comforting tonight?" Enyrea ran her hand through her hair and turned to smile at Jade.
“Oh, it’s no problem. I could use the exercise, anyway. I’m not used to not working out and training every day yet.” He returned her smile, following behind with his hands folded behind his back. “Yeah, I am. What gave me away?”
"Ah-- I noticed the way you walk. It's kind of different from how Abnegation born do," she pursed her lips in an attempt to lessen the awkwardness of the statement, slowing down a bit to match his pace. "It's not that I stare at you or anything, I wouldn't want to do that... It just stands out, you know. When in a crowd."

"I-- I didn't choose this path! I want to change my past! It's not like I wished for my parents to drift apart! Who would want that?!"

"...I hope that answers your question."
"How can that be? I’ve never heard of you before?"
“I wasn’t a famous name back at Hogwarts. I was known as the nosy and annoying Ravenclaw ‘not-so-smart-ass’ who no one cares about. That explains why.”

“I know. I’m not an
idiot,” Enyrea muttered irritably. Camp would be the best place to be right now. “But it’s too early for it to be this dark. Something’s wrong. Curse the gods!” She stomped her foot on the sidewalk, looking up at the sky again,...
“Camp? Well, yeah,” she answered, glancing back at her. “I mean most of my things are at my apartment, but I guess I’ll leave them behind. Not so important.” Her heavy backpack suddenly felt lighter. “Got my essentials with me. Were you headed to Camp?” Enyrea asked.
”Or maybe, just maybe I’m telling the truth and you refuse to believe it so adamantly … You’d rather accuse me of being Divergent or create some kind of serum conspiracy theory.”
Enyrea bit the insides of her mouth, clearly annoyed by the false remarks. “For the record, I did not accuse you of being Divergent; don’t be so…defensive. I was merely saying that the Divergent should also not be able to fight off the serum.” Her patience was growing thin, and the boy’s attitude wasn’t helping. She disconnected the wires attached to his body, “I’ll be escorting you to your cell. You will be called again tomorrow morning for another test.”
Anya stared at the person holding the sword to her. “What are you going to do with that?”
"Well, I was planning to hit you with it, but then I don’t see why I should." Nikole lowered the sword, eyeing the girl in front of her. "Do I need to hit you?”
