Reconciliation//Heather&Kirk
Kirkley was glad to be back at school. He had missed his friends when he got unexpectedly called away home. Kirk knew that it was his duty to go back home when he was summoned. So he had went back, but it was sort of a raw deal for otherwise friends. One friend specifically. Heather had been on his mind a lot while he was away and he had wondered what had happened to her while he was away. Do that his return was marred with thoughts if having to face her.
Kirkley frowned as he loaded his food tray with pretty much everything he saw. Though his thought over heather made him uneasy, it didn’t diminish his appetite. He glanced at the table and then frowned as he saw the lack of available alcohol. Looks like a year of forced sobriety again… Just one more reason for today to be not as great as he thought it would be.
As he walked to a table, carefully sitting down to not damage anything, he thought about having to talk to her. He owed her that. He would let his father and his siblings down if he didn’t talk to her. He started to shovel food into his mouth as he thought about having to face her. Emotions were tricky… He couldn’t slap a set of armor on and charge in with a sword drawn. He sighed and continued to eat.
He thought that the problem was that… he was ashamed. He not only had to work out what to say, but the nerve to say it. He was too proud for his own good. That was the centaur in him. And something like this felt dishonorable, and though he couldn’t help being called home, he still felt as of he had wronged her. He was half way through his food as he debated what to do. He couldn’t avoid her for long. And he didn’t want to be surprised into seeing her next. Making a scene was not at the top of his list if things he wanted to do.
