Heathers reboot (an unpopular opinion)
Okay so here's the thing about the Heathers reboot, to me it seems like they're trying to humanize the Heathers instead of making them all mythical and just more typically popular. They decided to show that the white cisgendered people are the villians, hence why JD and Veronica show little to no remorse after they kill Heather Chandler. It is much like our society now and I know that sounds bad but it is demonizing JD and Veronica which for most of the time since Heathers the original movie came out, their relationship has been romanticized even though it is toxic and gross and bad. I mean they murder multiple people, how is that not seen as bad? How are they not seen as the bad guys? Now don't get me wrong, I love the original Heathers and I love the musical but, it is kind of nice to see them actually show the JD and Veronica relationship for what it really is. The series is new and honestly it's kind of scary seeing one of my favorites be completely changed, but I am keeping my hopes high and that it'll be better, not better than the movie but better than what people are thinking. I have watched the First episode but I don't want to spoil it for anybody because there's some Shockers in there, but I think it could go in a really good direction if it doesn't then, oh well I wasted my time watching a remake of my favorite movie, but that's life. Here's to hoping that the Heathers remake ends up being fucking awesome.
