Elliott Smith “Elliott Smith” Special Edition 199/2020

Hello old friend! I haven’t broken out the Elliott Smith albums in a while… spurred on by the reissue of the third Heatmiser album “Mic City Sons” (excellent, you must buy) and possibly my impending trip to the Rose City at the end of the month I pulled the almost to nice to play special edition of his self titled second album. My go to Elliott album is XO but this one is sweet too. The added second disc (pictured) of an early live show is a sweet treat but the real treasure is book built into the cover of JJ Gonson’s photos of Elliott. I hadn’t looked at it for awhile and it was striking to me how many of the people in his story I’ve met.
