@heavenlywinged || What if they kissed?
Setting: Upon her return to Xianzhou Luofu, for a festival celebration. She has known and interacted with him since returning.
She had long since known the trailblazer and crew was here. Without a single doubt in her mind, she knew she'd eventually run into them--it was only a matter of time. Just as it was only a matter of time before she ran into a certain general. Ah, but that was neither here nor now. When the time came, she would deal--for now? She focused on the journey as it was….and the current times she was having. Despite it all, she found that she was being welcomed with open arms--something she truly didn't anticipate at all, despite Yukong's statements. However…she wasn't complaining. It brought a warm smile on her features--and a small sense of belonging.
But even with that sense of belonging; She still felt…a sense of unease. It was as if she was being watched by someone or something. She felt like if she took one wrong action--spoke one wrong word…everything she had, would vanish once more. And she didn't know why. Mayhaps…it was her own worries; those following destruction had ways of watching. There could very well be someone who was secretly with phantylia and her group who were bent on causing destruction and distress in the Xianzhou Luofu….and Tingyun knew her stepping back here was dangerous and daring. Deadly.
She couldn't quite help it, however. She longed for her home. The people she had missed. A place of familiarity, that she knew akin to the back of her hand. And…it wasn't fair, of her, to keep those she held dear in the dark for too long. Besides, news of her recent resurrection from the brink of death was bound to spread quickly. Just as the arrival of the astral express's return was going to spread like wildfire to the entire Luofu.
After all; Why else would there be a halovian standing there, hand resting on the railing, gaze skyward?
He looked every bit foreign; And she briefly wondered if he felt like he hadn't belonged, or perhaps…he was missing someone dear to him. She was no mind reader, and didn't try to be one. She left the act of divination and the likes, to the respective guild. But sometimes, she wished, just once, she could peer into that head of his. What was he thinking about? Was there someone he missed? Did he feel misplaced? Was he searching for something? An answer?
That was a feeling she understood all too well.
❝ Benefactor? ❞ She softly calls out to him, peridots gentle when he turns to her; She for a moment is a bit struck with how he currently looks in low lighting present. The halo and his golden gaze practically glows…in this moment, quietly to herself, she admits the man is handsome--and charming, in his own way. She wondered…how many did he know looked his way? All aflutter and heart strung? How many did he know had crushes on him? Did he see through them, as if they were the freshly cleaned and made glass? How many had actually out right confessed to him during his time in the dream realm? Or even before it?
❝ Ah, Miss Tingyun. I hope you are faring well. ❞ Comes his gentle voice, the brunette female's smile widening as bit as she approaches next to him, her hand resting on the same railings his were. ❝ Oh, I am quite well on this wonderful night. And yourself, sir? ❞ She calmly refers to him, gaze turning back to the night sky. ❝ I can only hope this wonderful, joyous night has brought nothing but smiles and laughter, oh benefactor. ❞
She doesn't catch his gaze-how gentle he is looking towards her, in this moment, much like glass. Their original meeting had been short--and confusing, at best, if he was honest. Because everything that the other had seen-Sunday saw. He recalled the memory vividly in his mind's eye; almost as if he saw it yesterday. How did she stand up from it all, knowing everything she was, has been stolen? Ah but…that was just one of the things with Miss Tingyun; For someone who went through so much, she stood tall and firm with her decision to continue living.
❝ Oh…Tonight has been wonderful. I cannot deny it. It is…freeing. ❞ She could tell, those weren't quite the words he wanted; but she'd settle. Peridots turn back to him, her smile still present. ❝ Good. I hope that, perhaps…my presence here might make tonight all the more…. ❞ She pauses, debating her own word choices-she was hoping not to look too…eager or anything. Not to push on him. Everyone has their own pacing--including herself. However, she's not given much time to think on her phrasing. He fully turns to her now, daring to step just a bit closer…though there was a smile present on his features; One could tell he was pensive about something.
❝ I'd say…you already have. ❞ He answers softly, a hand moving to rest on hers upon the rail. They had been going back and forth for some time now--well after leaving the land of dreams. Truth be told he was surprised no move was made before now--but he wondered if perhaps she wanted confirmation. ❝ However…you knew that, did you not? ❞ He teases, chuckling, before quietly leaning down to her--his lips gently capturing hers, as the fireworks go off in the distance.
