I shot a talented, young chef in LA who has been nominated for a James Beard Award, was named Best Chef in 2016 by The Village Voice, and is a big fan of heavy metal: Liz Johnson for Revolver Magazine. It was a different type of shoot for me - more reportage, less portrait. I love shooting reportage. I shoot some personal work that way; reportage assignments seldom come my way. Liz took me on a tour of her foraging spot, her meat purveyor, and her restaurant, Freedman's, in Silverlake.
