(Sorry for the low quality, it’s a small image :’D)
I was working on one of those meme things where you list/draw some characters and number them and then they’re randomly thrown into various situations together, and I ended up drawing this and I honestly don’t know how to feel about it, which means you guys get introduced to this guy WAY sooner than I thought!
SO, this is Hector the Mover & Shaker.
He’s like Benny in that he was made to be toonier than other cogs as an experiment, but because of reasons, the factory went overboard on him, so now he’s so random and incoherent that he makes everyone uncomfortable. He doesn’t act with any form of reason, making him entirely unpredictable, and he really likes dancing. His suit is bolted down in most places excessively (especially at his joints) because he has ripped it so often that the factory got sick of replacing it. The only part of his suit which hasn’t ever been damaged is his tie, which he insists on keeping untucked.
This is the very first time I’ve ever drawn him, and honestly, I didn’t even recognize the initial sketch as my own style at a glance... I was going for different and overboard, but...????? At first I didn’t really like his design much, partially because it didn’t seem to fit in anywhere, but now that I’ve stared at it, made more deliberate choices, and have thought about all the subtle and not-so-subtle things I can do with it, I really feel like it fits him super well. It’s grown on me, and I even think it’s kind of cute?
I dunno, any thoughts welcome. Just wanted to throw it out there to see what some of you guys think.
