A short story about my ball... ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️ April 29th started off as a pretty shitty day for me. Found out I took a $1k+ loss first thing that morning and it was pretty much downhill from there. I had pepped up a little by the time Mister and I left for the #Braves game, but he ended up catching a 'tude which negatively impacted what is usually a pretty good time. As we sat in silence for most of the #Braves subsequent victory over the Padres, the most wonderful thing happened. Right as the 9th inning was starting, our right fielder, Nick Markakis (who I LOVINGLY refer to as Mar-KICK-ASS) threw his "warm up/long toss" ball directly to me! 😰 And I caught it!!! 😱😀 Turned my entire night around lol! Aside from the fact that I NEVER catch ANYTHING, not even hints most times, the fact that the ball came straight to me made me feel quite special. That, and the fellas around me telling me how awesome I was for catching...well, everybody except my hating ass husband, but I digress. As insignificant as it may sound, it's a damn big deal to me. I received something everybody wanted. I. Me. Caught it. With no glove! It's mine. Instantly turned my frown upside down. Even though it's an unsigned, "warm up" ball, I will cherish it just as much as my FIRST PLACE FANBEAT TRIVIA PRIZE Kurt Suzuki autographed spring training ball. I love my team! #MarKickAss #HeDaBest #ChopOn #AList (at SunTrust Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw8N5o1JKLE/?igshid=npajqqjjz3va
