I just found out
that one
of my favorite blogs,
@hedgehog-moss
deactivated.
I really wish
people who are going to disappear
from Tumblr
would at least
make it clear
where else
they can be found.
I don’t know
whether
they did it intentionally
or if Tumblr
just vanished their blog
but,
the tricky thing
about someone leaving Tumblr
is they’re here
because they don’t
really wanna
be anywhere else
on the Internet
so
the whole sharing
their other Internet things
doesn’t really apply
in this case.
I really miss
hearing about
what happened
with their animals
in the French countryside.

Peaceful and fun
that was the vibe
of the blog
with animals
and funny stories,
llamas
and the sad donkey.
Their blog
was so calming
and comforting.
It was true
and really comforting
in a way
that all of those relaxing blogs
failed to do authentically.
I will miss them.

I just found out
that she might have
been a TERF.
It makes
me concerned
that I might have been
following
a lot of people
who are transphobic
and I might not know.
I’m never going to be very Internet savvy,
but I never saw
anything like that
on their blog.
(Maybe I do
need to figure out
how to use
shinigami eyes.)
It was just
beautiful countryside
and llamas.
I miss what the blog
was to me
but it does undercut the feeling slightly
that this person
might have been
harboring dark parts of themselves
that make me realize
I didn’t
really know them
at all.
