Ratchet was getting a little tired of the tough guy persona that Jak seemed to keep up at all times. He had experienced his fair share of serious injury and pain, so he knew well enough how to manage the discomfort left behind from an accidental jab in his side by a very well disguised and pointy tree branch.

He didn’t need Jak to be so condescending on top of it all.

“I’ll stab you in the gut and tell you to walk it off. Easier said than done.”

The lombax’s lamentations fell on deaf ears, his complaints ignored whilst Jak turned his attention to larger concerns; chiefly the unending vista at large. Flat for the most part, where evidence of tectonic action was found, it wasn’t subtle; leveled dry plains bolstering mountains that rose from the ground at step elevations, the earth itself tinged a Periwinkle shade.

“No you wouldn’t,” Jak offered in monotone, a threat masquerading as friendly advice. Lighter blue hues scanned the area from their vantage point atop a slight rise, more concerned with finding where exactly they had ended up rather than his own personal being.

“Where the hell are we?”
