Selfie Sunday with my new doo! I donated 12 inches to wigs for kids on Thursday evening before a charity fundraising event. It feels great to have something new and know I gave something that might enhance a child's self esteem when they are battling cancer. I look forward to getting my letter & picture from my recipient!

Because its been a while since I partook in selfie Sunday. Update on the Achilles - last day in a walking cast, start doing my at home exercises for it tomorrow and should be ready for my hike in Friday, and hopefully much more difficult hikes in the future! It's feeling much better and soon to be much stronger!

Sorry

I haven’t been posting a lot about exercise and mostly about food. Long story short, I stopped running due to some sort of Achilles injury, I’m making a doc appointment on Friday. I’ve been doing circuit every other day and walking on the days in between. Not running is taking a toll on me and I didn’t really feel like talking about it till now. 

But I have a PT in two weeks so I’ll be running short distance 3 miles until then unless authorized not to by my doctor. That is all.

Feeling super lean

After sweating through my uniform 3 times today on missions. Must hydrate for tomorrow in the field! Last day!

So there's a pool on post

And a bunch of us got together for a workout today again after hiking yesterday. Which was absolutely beautiful! If you haven't been hiking through the pine forests in central Louisiana, you should give it a shot! But anyway, we went swimming in this incredibly wide pool and decided to create a more interesting version of sharks and minnows to play on the water. So it turned into "never have I ever" sharks and minnows. Needless so say I'm absolutely exhausted from swooning back and forth to each end but it was fantastic to be in the water with how hot it is here.

Food on the base

I've been eating all the "healthy" options on base and I actually think I'm gaining good weight! I see a bump on the back of my thigh where my hamstring is! Sexy!

Crushed it

I passed my pt at wlc as a first time go easily! Height and weight was also a breeze! :) Feeling good!
