Did you find the Happiness Project useful? Because I find the woman who started it absolutely, 100% insufferable.

Yeah, I think it's been kind of useful to me. Breaking bigger goals, like being healthier or being more social, into little concrete goals (go to bed earlier, go to the gym more, email people, do a social activity) seems to help me. I get overwhelmed more when it's a big intangible aim; I do better when I have smaller tasks that I can focus on and complete. 

The checklists have been the most useful to me, I think, since those end up being daily reminders of the things I want to be doing. The daily one-sentence journal can be kind of useful, since I can look back and see how my mood shifts over time and such. And I think the insight about doing what you actually enjoy, rather than what you think you should like, has been valuable to me. I often try to be someone I'm really not.
