normally id consider myself a pretty good cook but this morning i decided to make waffles bc i get fridays off from work and it was just dreadful omen after dreadful omen. i was stupid as hell and let my entire stick of butter explode in the microwave bc i forgot they do that if you aren't watching them and when i was mixing the wet ingredients i let the second stick of butter i melted sit for too long so it started clumping and shit in the milk and on top of that i let a single eggshell fragment fall in so trying to find it was a mess. i decided to just give up and mix the wet+dry anyway and fortunately the nasty butter clumps started mixing in perfectly AND the eggshell was perfectly stuck to the bottom of the bowl so I got it out no problem. AND the waffles were crispy and delicious. so who really comes out on top in the end
