Hi yes hello Been working on two personal projects at once so inktober was out of the question for me. Hence, the general lack of art 😅 ANYWAY, when I'm not arting sometimes I art and I came up with a cute concept for a tshirt design featuring everyone's favourite man-eating monster girl oc of mine; Heidi~ I figured this design would be fitting for this spooky time of year, so why not? It was a fun idea and I *may* make more designs featuring my other characters in the future 👀 You can get apparel and stuff with this design (or with just the illustration) at my teespring store. Have you seen this reaction to Heidi yet? Dany Edit: I had not and now I have! Thanks for sharing this with me, I had no idea it existed! I live for people reacting to the “twist” and this is definitely one of the better reaction videos I’ve seen, I loved the commentary haha

I can definitely see them being pals or frenemies~ uvu As for inspiration, Heidi's creature character design is derived from like a combination of the creatures in the "Parasyte" anime and in the "Wicked City" anime. And her colour palette was very inspired by the girl in the "Me!Me!Me!" music video. The common theme in all of these sources are humans revealing to be creatures/demonic enteties, so I can definitely see the Tomie comparison. That and they are both high school girls targeting teenage boys (to put it simply). Although I guess I can't completely deny the potential subconscious inspiration since I'm an avid Junji ito fan myself ovo

Ayy after much deliberation I have decided a name for the infatuated boy. There were actually quite a few suggestions to choose from, but ultimately I went with “Thomas Todd.” Because I like alliteration and himedeer_cosplay’s suggestion on Instagram was too cute to pass up.

I realize this little comic is kind of atrocious to read, so here’s the dialogue if you can’t read my messy af handwriting:

Heidi: Oh! I remember you! You’re Thomas Todd. Geography class. Thomas: Yeah, friends call me Tommy. … Heidi: So, Thomas… Thomas: (inner) So cute!
