#Damme Fotoarbeiten von Heidi Specker. Die Ausstellung läuft noch bis 19. April im #Oldenburg-er Kunstverein.
Der Oldenburger Kunstverein liegt am Dammweg. Jetzt zeigt er eine Ausstellung mit dem Titel „Damme“. Wer sich im südlichen Niedersachsen auskennt wie die Fotografin Heidi Specker, um deren Ausstellung es sich handelt, der weiß, dass es sich bei Damme um eine bäuerliche Ortschaft handelt, mit nicht einmal 20.000 Einwohnern. Hier wurde Heidi Specker 1962 geboren und hier wuchs sie auch auf.

Help I Am Blind
I came across Heidi Specker’s ‘Help I am Blind’ project in which she travels from Berlin to Australia where she spends 28 days photographing everyday things, e-mails the images to an architect and writer in Rotterdam who responds in writing to places he hasn’t been to. These images and responses in writing are then presented in a book.
I love this idea and will make my own spin on this to create a photo project.

Le pigment de la lumiere - Olaf Nicolai/ Heidi Specker £27.95 buy
Olaf Nicolai developed the work Le Pigment de la lumiere for the reconstructed Master’s Houses in Dessau. Coating the walls with marble dust in varying degrees of granulation to create geometric patterns, the work was designed to respond to changing light conditions. Heidi Specker’s photographs document this almost invisible work, directing the gaze to contours of surface and space. The book form is also beautifully considered with a delicate fold-out cover revealing maps of the Master’s Houses designed by Gropius where the works are installed.
