Nightmare has no actual height. He's just goop.

His old body broke already, so he has no way to just stay in that height.

now imagine Nightmare just being taller than anyone because of his goop

then that's where my other headcanon comes.

Nightmare is smaller in positive aus because it lessens his goop, and is taller in negative aus

So basically..

Funny story time: I never had any complex about my height, actually I always considered myself kinda tall (I'm 164 cm, that's pretty much OK actually). Then I went to university and there was this guy who constantly reminded me how tiny I was and how small I was everyday for almost five years... And now I have a huge complex about my height.
