Heinen's is fine // A.J. and Cameron
After a few days of eating out, A.J. started to feel a bit guilty for not buying food at the grocery store and bringing it home to cook. A bachelor's life is a bachelor's life, but he could at least get some frozen meals instead of eating at every fast food restaurant in the area. He finished up the last of his unpacking, folding up the boxes and taking them outside to be recycled. When he returned, he checked the list of points of interest his landlady had left for him, looking for a grocery store in the area. Running his finger down the page, his eyes settled on a promising looking one;
19219 Detroit Road (440) 331-3830
He copied down the address and slipped it into his pocket, putting on a hoodie before sliding out the door. He always locked both the handle and the deadbolt. There was no reason to make it any easier for someone to get into his apartment uninvited. He proceeded down the walkway toward the parking lot, and took two steps at a time on the way down, sliding his hand casually along the rail.
He hopped into his mid-range beige Toyota car and popped on the radio. --its better than yours, that's right, its better than yours. I could teach you, but I'd have to charge-- Milkshake was one of A.J.'s secret pleasure songs. Whenever it came on, he would sing along to himself. Sometimes he'd try to analyze the lyrics, but never got farther than Kelis explaining the economical dilemma of teaching how to make delicious boy-bringing milkshakes without charging for the knowledge. She'd obviously go out of business in no time.
Before he knew it, A.J. was pulling into the parking lot of Heinen's. He parked, got out, and locked his car, pushing a shopping cart from the 'Cart Corral' to use in the store. When he approached, the doors slid open and emitted a quick ding ding to signal that the doors were open.
He went about his shopping regularly, until it became time to buy beer. He needed to get to the other end of the aisle, but there was someone blocking it by zoning out standing next to their buggy. "Hey, excuse me." A.J. said, rolling his cart to a stop.
