Pangzi has celebrated well over 40 birthdays now.

Most of them passed like any other day but ever since he met a certain bespectacled boy in a damp tomb, birthdays are no longer just like any other day.

I also think Hei Xiazi should carve Pangzi a beaded bracelet. He spends days maybe even weeks working on it. Choosing the right kind of wood and getting the beads just right. Maybe a few of them have some really intricate details carved into them as well. When Pangzi asks where he found such a bracelet, compliments the incredible craftsmanship, mentions how it must’ve cost a fortune. Hei Xiazi just shrugs it off, says he found it at some old man’s shop for cheap in some small village.

I think Pangzi and Hei Xiazi should have deeply obnoxious terrible nicknames for each other. They start calling each other baby as a joke one day and it just gets worse after that. They don’t stop at things as terrible as sweet cheeks or honey pants or sugar lips, they just keep getting more and more creative and terrible.
