Lex and Ethan were doing their best when it came to Hannah. They were both working hard and staying busy, keeping their noses out trouble and just being guardians to her. Lex had even gone about picking up a second job to try and carry the weight of the bills, groceries, and just general spendings. Ethan would too if it were for the fact his dad already worked him to the bone, but it paid well enough and it kept him out of trouble too. Hannah hadn't wanted Lex getting a second job, but she insisted she wanted to and that it'd be okay. She would be okay. Mind you it took several places before one finally bit in wanting her to join their ranks and truthfully Lex wasn't even sure she was cut out for it. An animal shelter and rescue? She was fine enough with animals, but to take care of them on the regular? She barely knew what she was doing with Hannah.

Lucky for Lex she had made a friend at this job. @heirashari was sweet, big heart, talked a lot... but she was a good person. She wasn't like Lex's usual crowd, but maybe she needed that-- especially in a job as important and caring as this one. She needed focus, direction, and Keyleth offered that with giving Lex tasks that were both easy, but focus orientated. Precise feeding notes, play time observations, and walks. And usually Lex was punctually on time for her shifts, but today she was running a bit behind after leaving a morning shift at Toy Zone. She burst through the front door with a huff-- the bell above it ringing as she quickly found where Keyleth was sat behind the counter, "I am so sorry I'm late--"

he  hopes  the  two  of  them  can  figure  some  way  out  of  this  .  they've  only  been  traveling  together  for  two  hours  ,  and  he  wasn't  exactly  looking  to  make  a  lifestyle  of  it  .

not really. sophia does heal from all pain eventually, even if it does take a while. she struggles to deal with the pain of being with someone who didn't love or care for her the way she deserves, she struggles to deal with her sister's hatred of her but she does heal with both of these as time goes on.

physically: sophia has one ring that she will wear every single day. it belonged to her grandmother on her father's side. it's only a simple silver band that she will wear on her right hand. when working, it is placed on a chain around her neck. the only time it isn't somewhere on her person is when she's getting it cleaned. emotionally: the fact that her sister hates her. she doesn't know what she did except exist. she also knows that this is a mystery that she will never have an answer to. it hurts her greatly but she chooses to focus on the people who do love her.
