Today I remembered that in Welsh the expression "Get well soon" is "Brysia wella", imperative mood, and it literally means "Hurry, get better."
Like...I wish I could control the speed of my recovery, but anyway diolch (= thanks).
(Love the Welsh language btw. Five years together and I'll never stop loving it).

I guess the loss of creativity begins when you stop romanticizing life, even its darkest aspects. When you see pain merely as a problem to be solved or a flaw to be fixed, your mind just shuts down. Because many people simply don't know what to do with their suffering other than turn it into something beautiful. That's how they cope with it.

Επειδή τον επόμενο μήνα θα βρεθώ στην Αθήνα, από περιέργεια (και ίσως από ένα βαθύ, παλιό ενδιαφέρον που μπορεί να μην έχει σβήσει ποτέ) ξανασκέφτηκα τη φιλοσοφία του Σωκράτη, και περισσότερο από ποτέ, χωρίς να το ζητήσω, μου θύμισε πόσο συχνά καταδικάζονται ακριβώς οι πιο περίεργοι, στοχαστικοί, καλόκαρδοι, όσοι τέλος πάντων "ενοχλούν" με τις ερωτήσεις τους και τολμούν να δουν πέρα από τη συλλογική σκέψη.
