hello hello welcome to my cave you are so fucking right!!! he’s a bitchass loser of an unreliable narrator and i would quite literally die for his stupid-competent ass. can’t trust anything he says about himself but if you don’t trust everything he says about anything else in the world you’ll get whacked by the author. i love him. his only redeeming feature is his entire personality and also his children.
cale is so good because he makes me Conflicted. I JUST WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY I JUST WANT HIM TO BE RETIRED WITH HIS FAMILY AND NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!! but i ALSO want to take him gently by the hand and lead him to every international incident so i can watch with glee as he becomes his own worst nightmare.
Imagine,,, tony being embarrassed,,,,,,, by natasha’s blatant love and support,,,,,beautiful
Natasha: I would die for you
Tony: Don’t????
Natasha: Are you blushing
Tony: No???? Anyway I have to leave your general vicinity now bye
you know what i take back everything i said abt yanxi (fuck you i cried for hours) i was not prepared for the my attachment holy shit especially for yinluo and rongyin's love (my otp fuck you pig feet emperor) im at episode 53 rn and im just too heartbrocken to go on (bc of *ahem* someone's death) and i refuse to accept yinluo would actually fall in love with that 0 eq emperor (ps. im starting fight sphere rn)
I’d watch until the end of episode 54, because the best part is coming!
I think at this point, Yingluo is still unabahsedly using the emperor to avenge Rongyin. That subplot needs to resolve before her relationship with Qianlong could seem like a real relationship and we could begin to believe that Yingluo is considering Qianlong to be more than just her pawn.
Though I agree that her relationship with Qianlong, even viewed under the lens that she started it as part of a revenge plot, can be very stilted considering how much work they did with Yingluo & Rongyin, especially around this stage where I guess we’re supposed to think she’s beginning to genuinely develop feelings for Qianlong.
I wish (again) that they cut Hongzhou’s unnecessary subplot with Shushen and just focused more on developing Qianlong & Yingluo AFTER all the misunderstandings, instead of just jumping ten years. The more I think about it, the more I regret that ten year jump because all the character developments - for Yingluo, for Qianlong, for Shushen in relations to Yingluo - is in those ten years and yet we’re not shown any of it. Qianlong before the ten-year jump is a different person from the one after it, which makes sense, because you know ten years has passed, but we don’t get to see any of that change. For a 70-episode drama, they really could have spent more time on the character development.
*HERE COMES THE STARDEW TRAIN CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKER* Penny has been bedridden for days because of the storm a few days ago collapsing her roof in and drenching her in an oceanload of rainwater. Which left no one to teach the children. Which left means the children will miss out on education and Penny will not have that. So when the farmer came to visit bearing a bowl of soup that they set down on her bedside table, she drank a few mouthfuls before leaving the rest for later
(she heard of what happened to Robin) and requested the farmer to be the substitute teacher for a few days. "You can teach them about farming" she insisted "and about life outside the valley. Anything that you want". The farmer hesitated for a moment before folding reluctantly under her pleading gaze. If Lewis had visited two hours earlier he would have frantically explained how bad of an idea this was to Penny. Sadly, her brain has been quite muddled by the cold and with Pam was out working
her bus shift so there was no one around to be her voice of reason. When Friday rolled around, the villagers were treated to rare sight of Jas and Vincent trailing behind the farmer like a pair of ducklings as they walked to the farmer's house for their lessons. Contrary to Lewis' fears, the farmer kept the lessons tame, keeping anything dangerous away from the children to avoid tempting them.
Of course what the farmer failed to realize was that what they considered to be dangerous is quite different from what the other villagers considered to be dangerous. So when lessons ended that afternoon, Jas flounced home, brimming in excitement when she told Marnie and Shane what the farmer had showed them on his farm "...And there were these chests in house, just lined up against the walls, they had really pretty colours and the farmer showed us how they crafted them.
But Vincent was really wanted to see what was inside the chest so when the farmer was making us lunch, we took a peek inside a blue chest and it's so cool Shane!" Jas babbled with shining eyes "There were towers in the chest Shane! Towers made of barrels and covered in seaweed! And the chest was so deep we couldn't see the bottom and Vincent swore he saw a GIANT octopus behind one of the towers"
Shane made a weird choking noise. Jas, being the sweet, little girl she was, passed him a cup of water because he clearly hasn't been drinking enough water and continued on her spiel of wonder. "And then the farmer came around and saw us looking through the chests and showed us some of their really cool stuff. Shane did you know the farmer makes their own jelly? They gave us some to take home." Jas said as she pulled out a jar of starfruit jelly with an excited flourish from her dress pocket.
Marnie just gave a dazed smile to Jas as she gently recieved the jar and plotted to place it at the very back of the pantry, out of reach of little kids susceptible to sugar highs. She faintly wondered in the back of her mind if she should have a chat with the farmer about handing out extremely valuable artisan produce as gifts as if they were candy.

*Cackles* More demigod farmer shenanigans!
You know you’re free to post these on your own blog and @ me! It might be easier than having to send several asks. ^_^
your mind is like a renaissance painting by a woman artist <3
I have no idea what this means but it feels really good in my heart so thank you!!!
*jumps onto the benevolent demigod bandwagon cause fuck it* The storm that hit stardew valley three days ago was not the worst Robin had experienced but it definitely left more holes in roofs and collapsed walls in the town. More holes than building supplies she could fit in her warehouse. Which was a problem. Maybe she should have ordered more wood last week but prices were high, higher than usual so she wanted to wait it out. Too bad the storm was bigger than what the weather cast predicted.
So here she was, pacing back and forth outside her house phoning every wood supplier she knew to find someone who could make an express delivery in two days when the farmer walked up the hill. Putting her phone away and beginning to say what she has repeated to the last three townsmen that had shown up today looking for a repair job. "I'm sorry farmer, we are currently not accepting any orders. Our supply warehouse are currently empty-"
Only for the farmer to raise their hand and shake their head no. They put their backpack onto the ground, opened it and began to take some wood. Only some wood became more wood. Became piles of wood. Bigger piles of wood. And Robin could feel her eyes and mouth slowly widen in awe and disbelief as she stood there and watched the farmer's pile of wood became taller than her. Taller than her garage. Taller than the roof of her house. Somewhere in her ringing ,blank mind she could hear
a voice weakly saying that this is why Demetrius can only handle being around the farmer once a week. When the farmer stopped bringing out towers of wood the sun was beginning to set. Robin relaxed her shoulders that she didn't know she was tensing. Her fists were still clenched, some corner of her dazed mind realized and heer knees were locked in place and weak. She knew her mouth were still hanging open and out of the corner of her right eye she could see Demetrius with his eyes clenched
shut in an feeble attempt to reject the impossible reality happening before him. Her jaw muscles were still stiff but she managed to close her mouth without trouble. She wondered if her jaw could handle the stress from hanging open if this was going to be a regular occurrence around the farmer. And the farmer themselves was standing in front the towering piles of wood. Those towering piles of wood that she was still to wrap her head around. How much wood was there anyway? She hesitated to ask
out of fear for the answer. Giving herself a mental shake because cowardice was not something Robin would tolerate in herself, she opened her mouth to ask the farmer. "Farmer, can you, um, tell me how wood is there?". There held up three fingers. "Three hundred?" A shake of their head? "T-three thousand?!" A nod. Robin could faintly feel her hands shaking as she tried to calculate how much that would cost. And then the farmer raised two more fingers and gestured to the slightly smaller towering
pile of- was that hardwood?! Her knees were faintly shaking was the last thing she as she fell backwards into a dead. When Robin woke up in her bed, hours later, with a fluffy sheep blanket that was definitely not her's, medicine on next to her bed and a note from the farmer stuck to her forehead saying that the wood was repayment to the town for them welcoming and helping the farmer when they first arrived and the medicine was for Robin's sickness because why else would she faint.
Robin wondered if she should follow Demetrius' example and cut down her contact with the farmer to once a week for her health
A few days after Robin upgraded the farmer's house and added a kitchen, the farmer gifted her a chocolate cake. Touched by the gesture, Robin accepted the gift. Mistake number one. With nobody in the house, Robin cut out a big slice of the giant cake and dug in. Mistake number two. When Robin woke up two days later, there was a wobbling avanti garde tower of wood she had no recollection of building. All the trees within 2 kilometres have been chopped down and there was a new slightly wonky
HOW COULD YOU SEND ME THESE AND JUST END IT THERE?! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT. WHY DID ROBIN PASS OUT AFTER THE CAKE!? DID THE CAKE PUT HER IN SOME KIND OF SUPER-CHOPPING TRANCE?! WHY DID IT END THERE?!
