This War is Painful- Helga and Aurora (Rose)
Rose ducked under the cover of the trench she was in. "Where is she?" she whispered, searching the maze for the other nurse who was supposed to be meeting her here. There was a man below her who had been shot and needed to be taken care of. "Just hold on sir, you'll be fine." The man groaned in pain, so Rose lowered herself to his level and stroked his head, trying to call him down.
It wasn't Rose's first time seeing a man so hurt. This war had started three years ago, in 1939. It was a war to reckon with the Great War that had ended in 1918. It was a war that would later be dubbed, "World War Two."
