Hel sat on a park bench a sketch pad in her lap and a piece if charcoal in her hand as she tried to get back into her old hobby, when Hel was younger she used to enjoy drawing a lot but that was also before all she ever could see around her was ice and death, and there was only so much you could do with that. Hel tried to sketch out the flower bed before her when someone's shadow loomed over her and she frowned not looking up from her page "Excuse me, could you please move? Not to sound rude but you're in my light and in front of the flowers I'm drawing"
He seemed calm but there was rage in his eyes. "You may want to reconsider your decision" said sternly, looking at two men who dared to kidnap his daughter. He did not know how they managed to poison her but they will take responsibility for that, of this they may be sure. "Leave her now, or you will regret it even more than now. Hel looked up upon hearing the familiar voice and smiled upon seeing her father, the first truly happy smile the goddess had given in a long while "Thank Odin," she breathed relieved to see him before one of the men pushed her head back down to face the ground forcing her to give a small whimper of pain

Hel smiled as she looked at the crowd that now surrounded her, she had been doing magic tricks all morning and now a decent crowd had formed around her. now it was time to bust out the big illusions as she stretched a bit
"Alright now who likes animals?" she asked looking around at them with a smile she heard a few protests and some rolling of eyes and she chuckled "Don't worry i'm not a big fan of rabbits and frankly I don't have a hat from which to pull one out of" she said holding up her hands for everyone to see a smile on her face
"you see i'm uh well i'm more of a cat person myself" with that she moved her hands pulling the little kitten out of what seemed to be thin air
she smiled at the applause as she now held the kitten close to her chest "Hello there sweet baby, can you say hi to al these lovely people?" she asked looking around at the crowd "Well i'm sorry baby but it's time for you to go home i'll meet you there ok?" she asked before she moved her hands again and the cat vanished
Hel took a bow to the crowd but now she spotted the source of a major problem, a police officer was headed her way, and her with out a permit for street performance. Hel scooped up her dufflebag from the ground and the guitar case that held a decent amount of cash in it closing it up so as not to lose her money
"and now for my final trick, I will make myself disappear" she said dramatically before she could do anything else she took off running in the opposite direction of the officer, dropping a handful of marbles for him to trip over. she hurried around the corner and into a crowd before ducking into a little cafe she sat down and caught her breath putting her dufflebag down and watching as her kitten poked his head out of her dufflebag, Hel smiled adn scratched her head "You did great sweety" she said as the kitten purred

Hel sighed, she hated serial killers. so much unneeded death and lost souls unable to find their way to the after life. this was the third murder in three weeks it was the same person she knew but she couldn't interfere she had a job to do.
Hel walked to the body of the latest victim seeing the soul trapped inside and drawing her out "Wh-what?!" "Shh" Hel hushed soothingly "I'll explain later alright?" she said to the soul before she placed a hand on the poor victim's shoulder and watched as she disappeared going to her realm. Hel stood and brushed the dirt off her skirt before she felt a pair of eyes on her, which was strange because when she was working usually she had a charm that avoided midgardians from seeing her, then again there were always those special few. Hel looked around until she spotted him, one of the detectives on the case, fantstic.
Hel just gave a little smile and a wave before allowing her magic to disguise her as one of the officers on the case so hopefully he would think he imagined her.

This seemed like a good place to hide for a little while, a big busy ocean like the Grandline seemed safe for Hel to hide from her grandfather's all seeing eyes so many people it might be a while before he managed to track her down. besides all the chaos that added to it she'd probably last at least a week should she decide to stay in this one little town.
Hel looked around curiously now she just needed to know exactly where she was so she could get a map and figure out what to do from there. Hel stopped looking to the nearest person she could find
"um excuse me, I'm afraid I'm a bit lost could you help me?"
