HELICAL CONCRETE STAIRS Another one stripped! We constructed this helical flight on a new build in the exclusive Beeston village near Nottingham. A slight tweak from the drawing, on setting out, we discovered head room issues with the steel above. Also, the client didn’t like how far the stairs ran past a door at the bottom of the stairs. That’s the biggest advantage of In situ over Precast. Once your precast is ordered/delivered, nothing can be changed. HELICAL CONCRETE STAIRS. We recently constructed this helical staircase on a project near Goodwood Racecourse. The Client had originally sourced precast stairs. The lead times were outrageous, as was the cost compared to us. You will see we added a rounded “bullnose” detail to the bottom treads.
