I like how I went over the dance prompt post and my eyes settled on “is it a crime to dance with a pretty girl?” and in my head hel was like: "it is. on this planet, apparently." and my mind proceeded to create a whole sub-plot on a planet where dancing is banned bc some years ago the inhabitants randomly started dancing in the streets, couldn't stop and even not everyone made it out alive after that mysterious fit...
a coffee shop au but it's a horror/nightmare/thriller loop the characters are stuck in and they have to remember things before they can start getting out
"murder mystery cruise" but since everything is so space-themed with me lately, it happens on a starship during a convention. it's a medical, security, science or general political forum on a ship that roams around picking people up. once everyone's aboard something sinister happens. can be anything, good luck solving it and staying alive ;)
you are walking past the cemetery/burial site. you hear music. the undead/entities/creatures/incorporeal aliens are having a rave. it's one of the coolest parties ever.
what I like about d.ark sou.ls and stuff are the messages other players leave.
kinda wanna incorporate that into RP.
muses on an adventure somewhere, there are messages etched along the way by whomever. are they lies? are they jokes? are they helpful? could be fun imho)
me: time-travel is a messy concept, difficult to implement and make it engaging, and convincing. it's either too complex to follow or too simple to be interesting
also me: okay so Hel time-travels and prevents an assassination by another time-traveller, she's actually doing it to save the life of the third time-traveller who accidentally time-travelled wrong and instead of shooting the assassin the police attacked and killed that third time-traveller...
instead Hel interfered saved the third time-traveller and now the assassin time-traveller is dead...
but there's still the problem that there's a dead time-traveller who isn't supposed to be there (now the police has the body) and also Hel and that other time-traveller are slowly dying of radiation poisoning so they best hurry and clean this up
also me: ok so in another story Hel finds a body and all the evidence shows that the death occurred by the means of time-travelling negligence... or was it... if it's negligence... why is everything so perfectly staged and clean. upon closer look it doesn't seem to be a set of coincidences, it's not chaotic enough no, somebody killed this man??? and staged it as a time-travelling accident?? why?? did someone create this specifically for her to find??? uuuu
the drowned continent idea
a piece of land that drowned ages ago has recently been “uplifted back onto the surface” thanks to the latest tech wonders (probably use of stolen alien tech)
Hel and your muse get to explore the new territory: build, claim, study any remains that might be present - from traces of ancient humans to shocking discoveries of alien/another realm’s involvement
bonus points if it turns into a survival action thriller because there are some monstrous creatures present. or there’s some rogue AI that decided to murder everyone. or any other deadly contingency.
A crocodile patronus is cool. An animagus crocodile form is... less so. Can u imagine a croc casually strolling next to you?
