Hell Mode ✅ 7/10
Any isekai that doesn’t rely on fanservice or an extremely OP MC is worth mentioning. Really the production values are the only thing that Hell Mode down. The CGI is among the worst I’ve ever seen and it relies on it a lot.
It’s a solid isekai with some interesting magical mechanics and the mc isn’t OP to the point it’s boring. I like that he actually has to rely on his summons and others in the world. Even by the end of this first cour, he’s nowhere near the strongest in this universe and I expect the eventual party mechanics to become integral to his future success. I didn’t think this would get a second season, but I guess it’s the old “show was planned as two cour from the start and we’ll split it into two.” Technique. I am looking forward to seeing Allen and Cecil relationship develop!
