Mika and Aru always see Eren's good side, RBA leans more to see his dark side, Jean & Connie were doubtful at times but still lean with the good side. Levi was like a balance of those, he wasn't afraid to tell the reader if eren really had that dark side of him that he hoped eren won't succumb 💔😔 but also acknowledges eren's good sides so well. 😌 anyway where is he😭 i need his presence rn, i don't know what to think rn in the manga w/o hearing his thoughts. hahahaha.😭😭😭😭
Yeah, you’re right about MA but I think Annie understood Eren better than Reiner and Bert. She genuinely thought of Eren as a person with a strong sense of justice, as someone who would not hesitate to rebel against an oppresive system. And, she was right all along. I’m looking forward to Annie’s take on the situation; she always understood Eren better than Reiner imo. Reiner still thinks of him as a murderous psychopath hell bent on getting revenge. Annie won’t be like that, I’m sure she will respond to the whole situation in a different manner and understand Eren’s position. Jean and Connie are better in reading situations than Eren’s character tbh. And yeah, Levi definitely had next level insight regarding Eren. Well, it’s kinda hard to say Eren “succumbed” to his dark side. I’m sure all he is doing is a calculated move on his part, it’s not him letting his monstrous side take over him, if anything, he is consciously embracing that side for the sake of his friends and for Eldia’s future.
Yeah anon, I feel you. I need him too. He has been sidelined for so long it fucking hurts. He is the only veteran left along with Hanji and because after all Eren was his subordinate and this is his squad, it’s really important that we get his stance on this. Also, given that Levi and Historia understands Eren so well, I want them to talk Eren down and as Levi is the senior here, he should be the one reproaching Eren for all this. But ugh idk how much Isayama will do justice to him. As it stands, right now, none of the characters have any agency plus, to him plot and theme are more important than character arcs so… as frustrated as I am, I have like little hope of Levi resuming an important position in the story again :’) Furthermore the fact that he won’t be able to fight or even move like he used to before is again a big issue.
But, on the other hand, given that he’s not physically significant anymore, we can assume that if Isayama does turn his attention towards Levi, he’ll give him a more contemplative role from here on out that can in turn, give his arc a positive direction. Personally I don’t like how he behaved after he took down Zeke like all that anger-fuelled violence…I’ve never liked Levi reacting like that to his immediate grudges. I mean, yeah I understand his grief but no matter how hard it might be on him, it still kinda leaves a negative impression on the reader. So yeah, I’m still a little hopeful that if Levi is given more attention he’ll have a wiser, more observant role that I think is REALLY needed rn not only for his arc to resolves properly but also because of the way Eren is acting. World -destruction, racism, genocide, everything is dark, problematic and bleak and someone needs to fucking observe shit, think and then communicate his thoughts properly. Communication is the biggest fucking problem in Snk and I hope Levi understands that and reaches out to Eren. He obviously cant midget-spin again, his Acker genes won’t help anymore, so yeah his superior understanding of Eren is the only key characteristic left that can have a impact on the story at this point so let’s hope Isa gives him that role :) I can’t think of anything more suitable
