Hell Yes Fest 2015 Now Taking Submissions

Whether it be stand-up, films, sketch, improv, or any other sort of comedy, Hell Yes Fest is, for the first time, now taking submissions for this year's edition of the festival set to take place from Oct. 1st-11th in New Orleans. This way, they can reach further to bring in comedy from around the country down to their neck of the woods.

The deadline is June 1st and you can submit here for live comedy and here for films. So, if you want the chance of getting in at a festival and spending a week in New Orleans, stop reading this and get to submitting already.

The comedy stylings of The Grawlix, Sean Patton, Giulia Rozzi, Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction, Sean O'Connor, Power Violence,  Nick Mullen, Jake Flores,  Dave Child, Julia Prescott, Tamra Brown, Ron Babcock, Janine Brito, and more that we get to enjoy, and enjoy thoroughly, on a regular basis here in LA are coming to New Orleans this Nov. 12th-16th for The Hell Yes Festival.

New Orleans’ premier comedy festival, Hell Yes Fest, comes swinging back November 12-16. Curated by Chris Tew, the fest is held each year in the Big Easy in November with a second turn held in Austin in April as part of the Moontower fest. Hell Yes Fest is a "bad ass comedy festival" from that resides both in Austin, TX, and New Orleans, LA and features many of our favorite comedians. They're also having a film portion of their festival, which you can submit to. Whether it be a web series, pilot, feature film, etc., it'll be up for consideration for Hell Yes Fest! in New Orleans Nov 12-16th. 

Early deadline is July 1st and then final deadline is Sept. 8th. if you're interested.

Hell Yes Fest: There's nothing Eric Andre won't do

Though the event might not be safe or coherent and will probably include full-frontal nudity, The Arcade recommends seeing Eric Andre perform at 9 p.m. Monday at One Eyed Jacks. Tickets cost $12 at the door.

Eric Andre skillfully walks the line between insanity and genius. His cable network show on Adult Swim, “The Eric Andre Show,” is a chaotic mix of incriminating hidden camera shenanigans and awkward faux interviews. He once explained it as, “pee and poop mixed together,” with a little “To Catch a Predator.” For example, Andre previously broke into a jewelry store, smashed its display cases, stole jewelry and got tackled by a security guard for his show.

Andre has been featured on “The Jeselnik Offensive,” where he set off fireworks mid-show, nearly giving a stage manager a heart attack. He also did a live interview on G4’s “Attack of the Show,” where he showed off his boxers that had a picture of a penis on them, before stripping naked and yelling “Nobody cares!” Where Andre goes madness follows, and his show will certainly be no exception.

Eric Andre’s show will be an inexplicable experience to leave audiences gaping incredulously and rolling in the aisles.
