Since day 13 of #fallforcostume is #blue and I've already posted the heck out of Dolores, I'm going with my #nuala cosplay! This was a big year for her also, since wearing her for the masquerade at #wondercon was my first time actually competing, and even though I just got an honorable mention from the con and a workmanship award from Costume-Con, it was still amazing for my first masquerade! Nuala was one of my first big, complex projects, since the outer dress is entirely silk and I sewed it all with French seams before dyeing it, and had to make the undershirt and skirt and belt to all cooperate with the weight of the dress. (and my wig never wants to behave.
