Unexpected, isn't it? (￣y▽,￣)╭

And it all started with a spontaneous desire to watch movies. I knew about Hellboy, but I'd never watched a movie from beginning to end. If I'm not mistaken, they were filmed by my father, but I wasn't interested and I didn't understand the plot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But honestly, I really liked the movies. I didn't think I'd fall in love with him so much. A meme fits here. ╰(￣ω￣ｏ)

The character is cool, charismatic and generally cool. I think I would choose his version from the 2019 film, although 2004 is just a classic. I want to make acrylic key rings with this art in the future and make my own merch. (p≧w≦q)

HELLBOY 2019: (Non spoilery bit): ⭐️ In summery, “why reboot something and make it worse than the first time”. Aside from the fact Ron Pearlman was born to play the role and he wasn’t in it, it was like they plundered the comics for plot ideas and string them all together in an artless uninspired way. Go read the comics, they are about a loveable character overcoming their dark side and destiny, whilst fighting nazis and occultic bad guys. Have you seen it? What did you think? (Slightly spoilery bit) I really didn’t like what they did with Bruttenholm, as if he was a bad parent. I didn’t like Hellboys conflict over “maybe we should give the monsters a chance”. I didn’t like the characterisation of Hellboy as he was too emotional and panicky. I didn’t like the way they merged Alice with Fenix, and although I was pleased to see Diamio in the movie, his part was built up to and then a big anti-climax as his power had zero impact on the battle. I didn’t like the Arthurian stuff even in the comic so it wasn’t great that this was the main theme. Nimue in the movie is supposed to be an all powerful witch but aside from being undead and failing to kill “Alice”, what power did she even have?
