can i just say that i’ve thought about this exact thing way too much & that i agree w all of this ????

letting aside for a sec the fact that I kinda want to adopt James but I was already 'uh' when Jemma reacted like that to his name on the laptop (’uh, so they didn’t forget him, thank god’) but then they met and I was like 'oh god, they'll sass the hell out of each other or he'll just insult her over being SHIELD' and then AND THEN he was just so... like a domesticated wild cat? I don't have a better description right now Jemma was just this close to squeeze his shoulder and give him tea, okay, and his tone was so different than usual? and he reminded me of how open he was while sharing a connection with other inhumans and talking about his life to Daisy, when Daisy went awww about him? I expected him to flirt to keep distance between them and for Jemma to roll her eyes and ignore him, typical uncaring dynamic, instead we got 'how are you' -long pause- -me expecting sass- -genuine answer from James while he's pretending not to be working with the watchdogs- also he looks at her without an attitude, and even when she says he can move on and he could sass a lot, he just gives her a sarcastic look but doesn't say anything WHAT HAPPENED THERE Jemma was totally sent to take care of him even though she is no real doctor (I bet it was pretty traumatizing but she kept her cool) also she was so GENTLE when checking his vitals, one hand on his neck but the other on his arm despite the fact that he was unconscious?? I’m sorry, I adore him and I’m having lots of feelings about this
