Cleo recognized that face and she recognized that scent. This was a man with an aura like her Alpha. She could tell he was an Alpha to something else, another dinosaur in this strange place. But not here. This man was not her Alpha and she wasn’t about to cower before him. Especially not while he was an unwelcome guest in her territory. Cleo already had one Alpha and that was all she needed.
At first she gave off a hiss, her first warning. He wasn’t yet through the gates, having stopped in the second one. Hiding behind the metal that gave off electricity upon contact. Her crocodilian eyes glared down at him. Maybe she could keep him from entering. Every ounce of her 11 foot tall body was personifying intimidation. Danger. A challenge. The juvenile might not be full grown, but she was certainly a force to be reckoned with. She was not about to bow down to the one her Alpha called “Mr. Grady”.
