So. The day from hell was this day. Someone hacked my debit card, transferred money from another account (since I had little), and they proceeded to change all of my account info, and they spent over $6,000 which I didn’t have anyway.

I saw some shady stuff when I looked at my bank’s app last night, so I turned off my debit card. But the phone calls came in all morning from the Account Takeover Department at my bank. The only way to fix it was to open new accounts, transfer everything, and cancel the old. So. After three hours at the bank (since they needed to verify my identity in person but not the folks who took over my accounts), I’m exhausted; and I still have to update everything on my app. And they managed to do all the shopping and wire transfers with only my card number and an incorrect expiration date.

Thankfully, the guy at the bank was nice. But it still was hellish to have to do all that. Ugh.
