If Pongorma gets too excited, he'll start getting aggressive and try biting and clawing. He means no harm, he just doesn't know how to deal with strong emotions. To combat this, his friends have to shake him around and push him over and wrestle him to get him to chill out, then he's very normal and docile again

Hi! I’m writing a little girl (8 years old) and she has very limited vision. I was wondering if it makes sense for her to look up at her dad when she gets nervous. I want to say that sighted people do it to see their reaction/slash approval but I just kinda do it. Any thoughts?

Yes, this sounds fine. She has residual vision and so would use that. Also, no matter their level of vision, children often look to caregivers for comfort or to understand what reaction is appropriate. This seems accurate to me. Even a child with no vision could do this, such as for reassurance-seeking, habitual behavior, or listening for a reaction from their caregiver.
