i don't want to sound so negative, but i feel the need to say this after multiple instances.

my posts are not anonymous prompts for writers to snag without credit.

my posts are not "prompts" at all, really. i get ideas and i share them for entertainment's sake. if someone writes about one, sure, that's fine, if they give credit to the post they took the plot from. my issue is that i have had several occasions now where concepts i post get snatched up without credit, and sometimes even what i wrote verbatim gets used.

and the thing is, once that gets shared, what am i supposed to do that doesn't come off as causing a fuss? what quiet way is there to say "hi, you keep calling this a prompt, or just some post you saw somewhere, and you haven't credited me"? what non-confrontational way do you do that?

when someone posts a WIP of a drawing, do you grab it and finish the rest and post it without crediting them? why do that with writing?

i love posting on here, i just wish people would stop taking my ideas and treating them as their own, or as a writing prompt they never were, or as just some post they saw so it doesn't matter who made it.

imagine a different scenario where Will discovered Hannibal killed someone and thinks it's in self defense. like off somewhere, not in his office where anyone would have to get involved, post-discovering that Hannibal helped Abigail hide a body therefore Will knows Abigail and Hannibal are already in the line of fire...imagine Hannibal having that initial panic because Will discovered him and he wonders for a moment if he'll have to kill him, but suddenly Will is "helping" him hide a body. evidently Will is bad at this and Hannibal has to direct most of it WHILE having to play the part of a shaken man who's just killed in self defense.

damn i was spittin with this. anyway alternatively Will could still be allowed to guide the whole thing but be astronomically bad at hiding a body so he's now breathing into a paper bag because evidence was found and he thinks his psychiatrist friend is going to prison for life (Hannibal went back and took the body and the evidence he planted leads to someone else because he wants to know if Will will let an innocent man go down for what Hannibal did or try to protest, even just privately with him)

the funniest thing about Antony Dimmond to me is that what made him so wrong in Hannibal's eyes was his forwardness. Hannibal had to work incredibly hard for Will's proper attention and now this random man who vaguely looks like him is just giving his attention out? for free? get folded idiot

Thoughts on whether or not Jack Crawford would’ve ruined Will Graham if Hannibal hadn’t?

i don't think Will would have ever been "ruined" if he didn't have something physically happening in his brain that caused hallucinations and gaps of amnesia because those were the main factors in him losing his mind.

he always had the potential to be a KILLER, and i still believe that could have happened either way if he was in the right circumstances, but he would still be fully sane.

plus...at the end of the day, Jack is never forcing Will to do this job. Will's a consultant and a profiler, he's invited onto cases but they're never really his. if he wants to stop the door is always open, he just never does.
